Learning in Practice | Week 10
This week felt different not just in terms of work, but in how I experienced everything around it. It was a reminder that learning isn’t limited to the workplace; it also comes from the moments we live outside it.
With a holiday in the middle of the week, I got time to step away from routine. I started the day with a visit to the temple for Gudi Padwa something I’ve followed every year. The energy of the festival, the dhol-tasha, and meeting friends and family made it feel grounding and familiar.
Later that day, I met my École friends after a long time. We went to Bandra to watch the sunset and it felt like a pause from everything. The colours, the conversations, and just being present in that moment made it special. We ended the day with a birthday dinner, long walks, and even longer conversations.
The next day was my birthday. I went to work, completed my tasks, and in the evening celebrated with my family. Turning 25 felt a little surreal like a quiet milestone in the middle of a phase where everything is changing and growing at the same time.
The week didn’t end there. I attended a Mumbai Indians event, which was something I had been looking forward to. The entire environment the music, the crowd, the energy made it a very exciting experience. And personally, getting to
see Rohit Sharma was a moment I had been wishing for.
What stood out to me, beyond the excitement, was the event branding and experience design. From the stage setup to the screens, the visuals, and the overall atmosphere everything was designed to create impact. It made me realise how much goes into building an event at that scale.
Having previously worked on events, I’ve always enjoyed that space from designing visuals to handling social media and on-ground elements like screens and banners. Being at this event reinforced that interest even more. It’s something I genuinely enjoy, and I find myself observing and learning every time I attend one.
This week taught me something simple but important balance matters. Work continues, deadlines exist, and learning is constant, but so are moments that recharge you creatively and emotionally.
And sometimes, those moments teach just as much.
This Week’s Key Takeaway
Creative growth doesn’t come only from work. Experiences, environments, and real-life moments play an equally important role in shaping perspective and inspiration.
