Learning in Practice | Week 13
By Week 13, the nature of work started feeling more dynamic. Instead of focusing on a single type of task, I found myself working on multiple things simultaneously from packaging-related work to communication materials like posters and edits.
This shift made me realise how important prioritisation is in a professional design environment. Not every task holds the same urgency. Some require immediate attention due to timelines, while others need more detailed focus.
Learning how to balance these became an important part of the process.
Switching between different types of work also requires a change in mindset. Packaging demands precision and technical accuracy, while communication design focuses more on clarity and visual impact. Moving between these helped me become more adaptable in my approach.
Another key learning this week was understanding how to structure work efficiently. Planning tasks, breaking them down, and managing time helped in handling multiple deliverables without feeling overwhelmed.
This week also made me realise that consistency needs to be maintained even when working across different formats. Despite the variation in tasks, the output still needs to align with the overall brand language.
Week 13 felt like a step towards handling responsibility more independently not just in execution, but in managing how and when the work gets done.
This Week’s Key Takeaway
Managing multiple design tasks requires clarity, prioritisation, and adaptability. Efficient planning helps maintain both speed and consistency.
